The 2021 ASU Social Embeddedness Network Conference will take place on Wednesday, March 24, 2021, and Thursday, March 25, 2021. The conference agenda is still being finalized, but we anticipate sessions to take place synchronously each day from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. AZ Mountain Standard Time. The official schedule will be shared in early February 2021.

The 2021 ASU Social Embeddedness Network Conference is an online, virtual event. You do not have to travel to any specific location in order to join the conference. You can participate from anywhere you have Internet access. The conference is accessible from desktop, mobile and tablet devices.

The 2021 ASU Social Embeddedness Network Conference is free to attend (and always has been!). Presenters share readily-accessible information, resources and strategies to help community engagement professionals leverage best practices for developing mutually beneficial partnerships. The conference hosts workshops on various issues and needs that are timely and relevant to community-university partnerships. Our goal is to ensure that as many community engagement professionals or those interested in community engagement can join the event to exchange knowledge, develop new connections and dive deeper into the field. 

 The conference is developed and hosted by the ASU Social Embeddedness Network in partnership with AccessASU. Since its inception, the conference has grown in size and attendance.

What is a virtual conference?

A virtual conference is an online event that involves people interacting in a virtual environment rather than joining in-person. A virtual conference involves a dynamic, complex agenda that includes plenary sessions and breakout presentations. Attendees can customize their experience in real-time to design an agenda that is relevant and engaging. Do I need to download or install any software to be able to attend the conference?

Do I need to download or install any software to be able to attend the conference?

The 2021 ASU Social Embeddedness Network Conference will be hosted on Zoom, ASU's enterprise audio and video conferencing solution. You do not need to download or install any software to participate in this virtual conference. However, you will need access to the Internet. We highly recommend using the Zoom desktop client or mobile app to join the conference sessions. 

Will I be able to take away information materials from the conference?

Will I be able to take away information materials from the conference?

Yes. The 2021 ASU Social Embeddedness Network Conference will share additional materials and follow-up information from each presenter that gives permission. You can download these documents and share them with friends, colleagues and other community-engaged professionals.
