Our process began in spring 2010 with informal conversations and focus groups with students, faculty, staff and community members at each of ASU's campuses. We synthesized key points from each conversation and used them as guiding principles for future engagement. The first series of Communities Connect Dialogues in April 2010 provided opportunities for audience members to share stories about partnership, learn about resources and find new partners.
Moving forward, we will host one Ignite @ ASU per semester at rotating campuses. In September 2010, we hosted Ignite @ ASU at the Tempe History Museum, on April 7th we hosted the Ignite @ ASU at the West Campus with the theme, Envisioning our Future, and finally, on November 16th we will host Ignite @ ASU in the Polytechnic Campus with the theme, Small Solutions, Big Change. In all, there were 300 people that attended these campus wide events highlighting the collaborative and community-based nature of each campus.
